Our Business
Gatehill Industries Ltd is a western managed manufacturing operation located in the Bao-an district of Shenzhen. It was established in 1995 to manufacture new compatible toner cartridges and still manufacturers cartridges for a major USA retailer and a major European OEM as well as for the house brand Q-Imaging. More recently the facility has taken on significant contract manufacturing work for imaging machines and core modules for imaging machines.
Apart from being a lean, mean manufacturing and logistics facility, support teams are in place to cover functions such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineeering, Sourcing, Design Engineering and Tool Engineering.This has enabled us to become a “one stop shop” for the offshore transition of assembly lines from high cost countries, typically delivering savings of the order of 40% for both tooling and piece parts.
Where a manufacturing operation requires high precision or special engineering considerations or where there is a need for extreme confidentiality, Gatehill Engineers will design equipment for in-house manufacture. Otherwise we call on our qualified supplier network for injection moulded, cast, sheet metal and other fabricated components. These supply partners are experts in their respective fields and totally trustworthy.
Needless to say, Gatehill is ISO 9000 and 14000 certified with a particular commitment to the environment. Our hot water for our production workers’ dormitory is solar heated and we have a target to generate at least 50% of our power from solar panels. Our IP office is 100% solar and wind powered!
Quotations are free and fast and without strings. We generally work on an open book basis with our clients so that there is total transparency of our costs and our margin structure. During a manufacturing transfer our engineering teams stay in close touch with the client by means of regular conference calls and two-way familiarisation visits. We believe that close and regular contact is the key to successful and long lasting relationships!
